I am a native of Edinburgh, Scotland, and was educated at Queen’s University, Ontario, Canada, and the University of Cambridge, England.

 

I am a renowned scholar of the art of the eighteenth-century Stuart royal courts in Paris and Rome and have also published and lectured on other aspects of 18th and 19th-century European art.

I have directed and worked in a multitude of art exhibitions, collections, and museums in past years.

I am now working as the Executive Director of the James Museum of Western and Wildlife Art in St. Petersburg, Florida.
